User’s Files Handling and Retention

We do not read, inspect, or copy your files. You retain the ability to delete your uploaded files at any time.

Annually, we convert more than 5 million files (equivalent to 150 TB of data). Input files and all temporary files are deleted immediately after each file conversion. Output files are deleted either instantly when the user clicks 'Delete Button' in the web panel or automatically after 1 hour. This means you have the autonomy to delete your files at your discretion.

We are unable to create backup copies of your files without your explicit consent. Your files are uniquely associated with your IP address, and only the user who initiated the conversion can download the resulting file.

Security

We firmly believe that security is paramount, and we implement all possible measures to protect your files and personal data.

All communications between your host, our frontend server, and conversion hosts are conducted through secure channels with HSTS enabled, effectively safeguarding your data from unauthorized access.

Information collected on the website is shielded from disclosure and unauthorized access through physical, electronic, and managerial protection protocols. Your files are stored within the European Union.

Your Rights

You have the ability to manage and modify your data in your profile if you have created one. You can delete your output files at any time.

To delete your output files, simply navigate to “Delete button” next to the Download file you wish to remove. Please note that output files are automatically deleted after 1 hour. Input files are deleted immediately.

You can also easily delete your account, which will result in the instant removal of your account and all associated data.

Log Files

Tools.threatvirus follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services' analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.
